Class Description

Tap/Ballet (3&4 years)
This combination class gives the benefit of both tap and ballet in one.
The focus in this class is to introduce the basic steps of dance along with creative movement, singing & fun.

Tap/Ballet (5&6 years)
This combination class gives the benefit of both tap and ballet in one.
The focus in this class is to teach and strengthen the basic movements of dance.

Level 1 Tap (6-8years)
Class is designed for students 6 years old with at least 1 year of dance and students who danced in the 6&7 combination tap/ballet classes. New students age 7&8 are welcome. This class will teach tap technique at the bar, across the floor, & several new and exciting combinations throughout the class.

Jazz 1 (6 - 8 years)
A fun filled packed class with a lot of movement going on. This is a great class for any student age 6-8 to experience our most popular style of dance.

Lyrical (9 & up)
Lyrical is a class designed to teach a jazz style with the fluidity of ballet.

Boys Class
This class is designed for boys ages 7 and up. This is a very fun and exciting class!

Tap Level 2-4
Tap technique is taught at the bar, across the floor, as well as several new and exciting combinations throughout the class. Ages 7 & up.

Tap Level 5-7
Students with several years of tap experience. Theses levels will compete in regional competitions in the spring.

Jazz Level 2-4
Our most popular style of dance. A fun class for anyone! Ages 7 & up.

Musical Theatre
Class will blend acting with dance. Music is selected from a Broadway show.
Our company students have performed many routines in this category, such as
Shoeless Joe, Too Darn Hot, and Brotherhood.

Hip Hop
This class is filled with attitude, style and energy!
All hip hop routines taught at Pizazz will adhere to appropriate choreography, costumes, and music.

Ballet Program
Our ballet program is designed to teach every dancer the foundation they need to be a strong technical dancer. This class has a curriculum that includes ballet’s traditions of discipline, attention to detail, grace, poise, and strength. Students are placed by age/grade and experience. If you are interested in being a company student you must have experience in ballet. All company students are required to take ballet.

Pre Ballet- Second and third grade

Ballet -Level 1 Fourth grade & up

Ballet- Level 2, 3 & 4 Placed by teacher

Pointe- Students in Level 3-4 Ballet. Students interested in Pointe are asked to contact the studio.

Company Classes
Students who wish to dance 2/3 days per week and want to participate in dance demonstration and competitions. We will be starting a new company class in 2006. Students will need tap, jazz and ballet experience. Students need to have a positive attitude and good attendance.
